Openings

Week 20 of the challenge ran from the 12/5/13 till the 18/5/13.

The theme was Openings.

I did not think this would be an easy theme and it wasn't, but it was not as hard as I thought it would be. The brief was to look around and photograph openings, preferably not obvious unless it was in an interesting way. Two of my ideas I did have did not happen in the end as I just could not get the shot. I also not happy with every shot I got but it definitely made me think how to get the brief done in an interesting way.

Day 1 - Boo in the Tumble Dryer

Day 2 - An Overfilled Bin

Day 3 - Through an Open Door

Day 4 - The Postbox

The Letter F

Week 19 of the Challenge ran from the 5/5/13 till the 11/5/13.

The theme was The Letter F.

You may think this was an easy week, similar to that of the week we did The Letter P. But nope, it so was not! We had to use adjectives starting with the letter F. Definitely not so easy! I ended up not using the three ideas I originally had as other photo opportunities opened themselves up to me!

Day 1  - FRESH Fruit

Day 2 - FUN in the Sun

Day 3 - My FELINE Cat

Day 4 - The FAMOUS Camden Lock

Day 5 - Bird FREE to roam

Day 6 - My FEARLESS little boy

Day 7 - A FAST Moving Train

Stripes and Spots

Week 18 of the challenge ran from the 28/4/13 till the 4/5/13.

The theme was Stripes and Spots.

I felt so uninspired by this theme as the brief was quite literally brief! Our choice how to do it, very open to interpretation. Basically we had to photograph spots and stripes. I ended up going for a theme within a theme, finding spots or stripes outside!

Day 1 - Royal Opera House

Day 2 - Stripey Shadow

Day 3 - The Shadow of a Bench

Day 4 - Stripes of Light

Day 5 - Spots of Light

Day 6 - The Meridian Line

Day 7 - No Entry Sign

Monochrome Greenwich

Yesterday, on what was a gorgeous day, I took my youngest child, Owen up to Greenwich. We went to the Cutty Sark, a walk through Greenwich Park, the Royal Observatory, stood in both the east and west at the same time on the meridian line and finished off the trip with a quick visit to the National Maritime Museum.

The weather was perfect, especially for shots of London from the Royal Observatory. Actually it was so good, that the camera was constantly out, being at a gorgeous view!

Here is a just a selection of the 107 photos I took yesterday and edited into monochrome:
