Patterns

Week 38 of the challenge ran from the 15/9/13 till the 21/9/13.

The theme was Patterns.

This week we had to choose between nature's patterns or man made patterns so I settled on the latter despite my lack of excitement over photographing my local area. However, it was renewed after discovering a competition involving listed buildings which pushed me to go and get some of these photos!

Texture

Week 37 of the challenge ran from the 8/9/13 till the 14/9/13.

The theme was Texture.

I was skeptical of the brief for the theme as it asked us not to go for the typical macro shot but an overall shot of the item we were looking at and its surroundings. To be honest, I have no idea if I captured the brief in my shots, not that I have had any complaints or notes on the photos, but to me, I am just not use I managed to do it!

Purple

Week 36 of the challenge ran from the 1/9/13 till the 7/9/13.

The theme was Purple.

Straightforward brief, find purple and photograph it. Not so easy when you realise there is barely any purple. In the end, I ended taking all the photos in one day as I ended up with a stinking cold and not in the mood to do the challenge. I ended with basically loads of flowers, as it was pretty much all I could find!

Clothing/Fashion

Week 35 of the challenge ran from the 25/8/13 till the 31/8/13.

The theme was Clothing/Fashion.

I was not happy with this theme as I am not into fashion. All I could do was do the best I can with a theme I hated. The week did not get off to a good start as someone made what they meant to be a joke but instead came across rude and put me off wanting to continue with the week. But after speaking to admin and having them deal with it, the joke was removed and felt more able to continue. To be honest, I am not happy with every shot, but was really happy the week fell on the week I was at a convention, which gave me an opportunity to using people in Cosplay as a shot.

Light

Week 34 of the challenge ran from the 18/8/13 till the 24/8/13.

The theme was Light.

So there was no specific shot we had to get, like the week previously, but instead we needed to use the light to enhance a photo we were taking. Admittedly, I stuck to using the sun or lights as the main thing I was looking to shoot and as a result I really enjoyed the week and captured what I feel are some great shots.
